Job Summary of Part Time Store Associate:
The role contributes to a secure shopping environment while ensuring exceptional customer service. Positioned at store entrances, the associate plays a crucial role in loss prevention through strong command presence, awareness, and communication. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and a positive attitude to help reduce theft and maintain safety standards throughout the store.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Part Time Store Associate:
- Maintain a professional front when positioned at store entrances and high-risk spots within the establishment.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere by greeting all patrons confidently, maintaining eye contact, and smiling.
- Monitor store proceedings and immediately notify the Manager on Duty of any behaviors that seem concerning or out of the ordinary.
- Uphold security measures by conducting thorough bag and package checks.
- Promote the reduction of support deficits through structured programs and communicate proactive theft prevention measures for increased effectiveness.
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs that address safety concerns and promote effective shortage control measures.
- Assist in working alongside leadership to develop a culture that champions being informed and proactive in preventing issues.
Qualifications and Experience of Part Time Store Associate:
- Experience of 1 year or more in retail, customer service, loss prevention, or operations is an asset.
- Possessing advanced communication skills and a depth of customer interaction expertise.
- The capability to stand, walk, and visually monitor the store for extended time periods.
- Proved skill in maintaining privacy and making deliberate choices.
- Proficient in observing keenly and guiding teams adeptly amidst challenging conditions.
- Being open to working nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the position.
